Email Sending from KVM Servers

Last updated: 2026-08-13

On KVM servers, only outbound SMTP traffic on port 25 is blocked by default. Other ports commonly used for sending email, such as 465 or 587, are not affected.

An unlock of port 25 can be requested through the customer interface. Under normal circumstances, port 25 can be unlocked 30 days after the customer account was created.

The request must include the exact intended use of the mail server as well as the email server domain that will be used. The provided information will be reviewed before access is granted.

Exceptions to the 30-day requirement are possible in justified cases and will be reviewed individually.
